Surgery by all accounts is amazing for the success that it provides. However these are the most amazing out there and can be called nothing short of groundbreaking for their approach and results.
- Doctors Remove Brain Tumor Through Eyelid: It seemed as though the brain tumor was unable to be removed. It seemed as though all hope was lost and that there was no viable path to the tumor itself. Just when the patient feared the worst, all hope was regained again. Through a revolutionary surgery, doctors were able to actually remove a brain tumor through an eyelid. They said it could never be done and though it may not be attempted many times over, it saved a life.
- Face Transplant: It seemed like something that could only be done in the movies. That was until it was actually attempted and achieved in actual life. A patient who had suffered a terrible tragedy and would likely never have a normal face again went through a face transplant. The results were unbelievable and though the surgery was grueling for doctors and patient alike, a normal life has been restored.
- Robotic Kidney Repair: A woman was about to face renal failure and potentially life changing consequences. Fortunately doctors tried a new procedure whereby a robotic device helped to repair kidney damage to her one kidney that humans would have never been able to handle on their own. - Endoscopic Heart Surgery: Many thought they would never see the day that heart surgery could occur without any incision. In this particular surgery, a coronary artery bypass surgery was performed on an actual beating heart without ever making an incision. This is amazing not just within the world of cardiac surgery but across the entire medical community. The patient by the way is doing quite well!
